A simple truth

A simple truth to life is that we create our own borders. In any country, walk of life, or within a group; the borders placed upon us are imaginary. Who would even think that a state or province is just a specific shape that just exists. No, humans made the borders. Humans decide who belongs and who doesn't. Humans. Yes, humans make the deicsions of who can even be accepted by a group.

I was once, flatly, told by the president of an organization that they were not really ready to have people "like me" be included. Another time, I inquired about a group, I was told--by a "good" friend-- that their parents had said that the group wasn't really for people "like me". One organization to another, it was their choice to say, "Sorry, not sorry, but you aren't welcome."

Did it bother me, sure. Did it end me? No. One cannot judge everyone by the actions of a few!

Rejection, judgment, and hate do not and can not define ME. If you don't like me I will still stand in my truths, I will still be the person that I choose to be, and even if I walk alone--you did not stop my movement forward.

So, no I did not join either of those groups... But I still did ok.
